Asset Ownership

The ownership of an asset is defined by which company or organisation has responsibility for its condition, location, depreciation and maintenance.

In IsItUp's Asset Management, we classify assets according to the following asset ownership types:

  • Company-owned

These are assets that are directly at a company or an organization's possession and disposal. This would mean that an asset belong to the Account Owner and his company alone.

  • BYOD Assets (Bring Your Own Device)

These are a classification of assets owned privately by an individual/employee that is being used within the company premises.

  • IDC Assets (I Don't Care)

These are assets which are identified as being safe/known within the company's networks but are not controlled or tracked for any information.
